Cathodic Protection Training Courses
Himoya Corrosion Technology An ISO 9001:2015 Certified Company, provide intensive training on corrosion mechanism and its solution techniques at company facilities based onthe requirement of the industry standards. The purpose of the course is to provide a better understanding of cathodic protection (CP) to all those who are involved in monitoring and maintenance of cathodic protection systems for onshore & offshore metallic structures under corrosive environment.
The course also provides, understanding of electrochemistry, corrosion fundamentals, and basic chemistry and electricity, which is desirable in understanding the basic concept and operation of a cathodic protection system. Knowledge gained in this course will provide an overview of the theoretical and practical aspects of cathodic protection, which will help the engineers and technicians in monitoring and operating their CP systems more accurately and effectively. The course provides a foundation for more advanced courses as well. The course also includes multiple practical sessions in the field or with simulation lab where the operation of CP system will be demonstrated practically. We conduct preparatory courses for NACE CP Level 1, 2 &3 cathodic protection certification courses.

Courses in Brief
Scope of course shall include lectures with presentation, explanation of 21st century corrosion challenges faced by the oil, gas, utility and power industry, hands-on training and practical with simulation lab in accordance with established codes and specification as well as international standards of NACE, API and BS 7361. The course will be conducted in a class room for 3-5days (depends on client’s requirement)and thecourse will include the following activities;
- Every day Lectures for each chapter with power point presentation.
- Corrosion simulation lab for each chapter soon after the presentation.
The Cathodic Protection Training Course is an intensive 3-5 days course that presents CP technology to prepare CP maintenance Crew to maintain the plant integrity. Course topics include basic electricity, electrochemistry and corrosion concepts, CP theory, CP systems and CP field measurement techniques. This course provides theoretical knowledge and practical fundamentals for testing on both galvanic and impressed current CP systems.

Pendekar Energy (L) Ltd. Bangladesh
Pendekar Energy is a Malaysian power company owned two combine cycle power plant in Bangladesh. One is located in Haripur (360 MW Haripur Power Plant) and the other is located at the bank of Meghna river (450 MW Meghnaghat Power plant). The training was conducted in two batches at both power plant. The attendees are taught basic cathodic protection and how to maintain cathodic protection systems of power plant facility structures under corrosive environment.

Bangladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral Corporation (PETROBANGLA) is a government-owned national oil company of Bangladesh. It explores, produces, transports and sells oil, natural gas and other mineral resources. It also concludes production sharing agreements with international oil companies for exploration and development of oil and gas resources in Bangladesh. We had conducted seminars and courses for their affiliates in their respective fields.
SAFER Exploration & Production Operation Company (SEPOC)
SAFER is the Republic of Yemen’s leading national oil and Gas Company. It is the upstream Operator of Yemen’s premier Mareb Block (18) and largest and second largest producer of gas and oil in the country respectively. Earlier operator was Hunt Oil (An American Oil Company). Two separate cathodic protection training courses conducted by our NACE qualified instructor at their oil field.
